Short Biography
Jessie joined Maslen Environmental in July 2006 after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan
University. In September 2007 Jessie returned to Leeds Metropolitan University to complete her
Diploma in Landscape Architecture on a part time basis whilst continuing to work at Maslen
Environmental part time. As part of her diploma Jessie is carrying out a master planning project
in the Aire Valley.
Since working at Maslen Environmental Jessie has been involved in a number of projects. She
has been involved in the background research and landscape character assessment of part of
the City of Bradford for a large wind turbine development proposal. As part of this project Jessie
assisted with the preparation of a pre-planning public consultation. This involved the liaison with
officers and members of Bradford Council, local residents and other stake holders. The
consultation involved a road show, a mobile exhibition unit, at three sites around the
development. Jessie’s work involved researching the historic landscape of this area of Bradford,
preparing photographs and illustrations and preparing text for the presentation boards and
questionnaires.
Jessie is currently involved in developing an optimisation study for the Lower Wharfe involving flood risk assessment, environmental enhancement and landscape uses.
