Somerset WAVE Project - Water Adaptation Valuable for Everyone
JBA Consulting have been commissioned by the Environment Agency South West Region to develop visualisation tools to promote the debate about climate change.
The study area covers the Tone, Parrett, Brue and Axe catchments. The project will produce climate change mapping and visualisations to communicate various flooding, intense rainfall and drought scenarios. This will encourage and inform the debate about climate change and will potentially be used as a planning tool for future development and infrastructure.
The project is an EU-funded initiative and involves partners in the Netherlands, France and the UK.
The UK element involves visualising climate change impacts. It is lead by Somerset County Council with the EA acting as Project Manager. Other key stakeholders are Somerset Wildlife Trust and the Somerset Consortium of IDBs.
