Bradford University Peace Garden

Maslen Environmental was commissioned in 2007 to prepare landscape design proposals on behalf of Bradford University for a redundant space situated between the Horton Building and Great Horton Road.

The Peace Garden forms one of the most visible developments in University’s Ecoversity proposals;a 5 year and £100M estate and Institutional transformation to embed the principal of sustainable development throughout the institution.

The brief called for the design and construction of an inspiring, uplifting, innovative space, which should be sensitive to many different users and stakeholders aswell as to increase the local biodiversity and offer opportunities for relaxation and quiet contemplation.
